How Penny Electric Went From Hours of Manual Work Into Monthly Revenue Growth With ServiceTitan

Just last year, Brooke Ladomerszky spent most of her days hunting down missing information.

The controller at Penny Electric would dig through job folders — which contained many critical pieces of paper — so she could gather information for invoicing, permits and any other job-related documents for the Las Vegas commercial and residential electrical shop.

But half the time, she couldn't find what she was looking for.

“So then I’d have to reach out to our supplier, and wait to hear back from them,” she said.

Estimates were just as arduous. Penny Electric’s accounting software allowed project managers to overwrite estimates with no record of the original. If Ladomerszky needed to know what changed, she’d have to call and wait to hear back from the project manager.

“And he was always out in the field,” she said.

Job costing was even more painful. The multi-step ordeal meant pulling a time report and a job costing report, printing everything out, and then doing a billing comparison.

“(It took) a good hour to do (all of that) for one project,” Ladomerszky said. “It was pretty rough.”

Without clean numbers or easy ways to access information, Penny Electric couldn't get a clear picture of what it was spending on materials or how many hours were going into each job.

The impact?

“(We) ended up overspending," Ladomerszky said.

Everything, In One Place

When Penny Electric went live on ServiceTitan in November 2025, Ladomerszky started discovering tasks that had eaten most of her days were being handled automatically.

"I was super excited about it because I didn't have to sit and pull my hair out trying to get all this manual work done," she said.

For example…

  • Job costing: The financials page in ServiceTitan put everything in one place — already calculated, no printing required.

  • WIP report: Automatically built from purchase orders and timecards. No manual spreadsheet entry, no relying on someone to input the data.

  • Project documents: Permits, invoices and other job-related documents are now attached directly to each ServiceTitan project. "You don't have to search for it," Ladomerszky said. "And you don't have to have that risk of somebody losing it."

  • Marketing: A dedicated report replaced the manual spreadsheet, showing where calls came from and how much revenue each area generated.

Then there was billing. ServiceTitan's empty invoices report and incomplete jobs report turned up jobs that had been completed but never billed — some going back months. Penny Electric increased billing by 20% as a result.

As for labor always being Penny Electric's biggest cost risk?

“(With ServiceTitan), we definitely have a better idea of our time and labor on our jobs,” Ladomerszky said. “Now our project managers can take a second to look at it and not overspend.

“(As a result), our projects have been more profitable.”

A Different Kind of Day

The hours Ladomerszky once spent chasing information now go somewhere else — toward work that actually moves the business forward.

With the manual grind off her plate, she has more time to interact with customers and stay close to her project managers.

"We send the WIP (report) out to them weekly so that they can review," she said. "And I can get a lot of other things done — like developing ServiceTitan more for the company."

The physical job folder barely gets touched anymore.

For the roughly $8 million electrical shop — now preparing to expand into Utah and Arizona — the changes have shown up in the revenue numbers. Compared to the same month the prior year, Penny Electric has seen increases of 5 to 10% every month since going live.

"Obviously, something's working,” Ladomerszky said. “(ServiceTitan) has all the bells and whistles to get you to where you need to be, really quick.”
