Pantheon 2025: Find Your Most Profitable Path of Least Resistance

October 21, 2025

Episode Overview

Legendary Plumbers Director Mitch Boerner had foresight. After coming out of the music industry and working in professional kitchens, he knew the importance of keeping your work space clean, in preparation for the next task.

Working with his brother Jacko, a plumber, in what was essentially a garage operation, Boerner focused early on repeatable work.

“The real nuts and bolts of getting this business right is getting those procedures — like Al Levi would say — getting your org chart and your processes in position,” Boerner says. “If you do that, you find out what doesn't work very fast and you find out what's not scalable.”

With that vision, Boerner was able to quickly turn the company into a multi-service business, adding electrical and handyman services to their plumbing core operations.

As a fan of technology, Boerner never questions adapting to new tech services.

“ We haven't found this business to be difficult,” he says. “The most difficult thing is swallowing the pill of like, ‘Imagine if we had done this earlier.’”

Boerner feels prepared for future growth. He’s envisioning a future hub-and-spoke model for his business. And he’s an eternal optimist.

“ Dress for the job you want, not the job you have,” he says. “The same goes for pricing…You really need to make sure that you are priced for where you want to go.”

Mitch Boerner recently joined ServiceTitan’s Jackie Aubel on the “Toolbox for the Trades” podcast, which included Boerner’s thoughts on:
