Strategic Partnerships: Build Legacy and Generational Wealth in Garage Door Businesses

July 8, 2025

Episode Overview

Rather than each go it alone in business, friends Joe Delaney, Jordan Dubin and Sean Slazyk figured a three-way strategic partnership was the path to fast-paced growth.

They were right. The three are co founders of Guild Garage Group and Galaxy Service Partners, and have relied on collaboration and strategic alignment to transform their residential and commercial garage door businesses.

Delaney, Dubin and Slazyk discovered how partnerships can provide short-term wins and lasting generational wealth, vast industry expertise, and robust support systems that help provide continuous growth.

“ If you want to go fast, go alone, but if you want to go far, go together,” Dubin says.

ServiceTitan’s platform has been critical for putting together the jigsaw puzzle of pieces needed to make good decisions in business, or change directions quickly if necessary, Slazyk says.

If you can standardize your CRM [with] everything from ‘Hey, we know how many calls are coming in' to 'We know where that's trending and traveling,’ it allows you to pivot on a dime,” Slazyk adds.

Of course, good partnerships call for exceptional communication, a facet all three partners are keenly aware of.

“  We send daily KPI reports around so everybody sees everybody else's close rate,” Delaney says. “And [some people] say, ‘Oh my gosh, I didn't know that you could get a close rate that high.’…Daily KPIs actually unlock what is possible.”

All three partners have noticed that getting granular KPI data across their systems lets people see where they stack up and gives everybody new goals to shoot for.

Joe Delaney, Jordan Dubin and Sean Slazyk recently joined ServiceTitan’s Jackie Aubel on the “Toolbox for the Trades” podcast, which included their thoughts on:
