Learn About the Latest Plumbing Software That Helps Plumbing Businesses Operate More Efficiently and Grow Faster

Trade shows are a great way to network with your peers and catch the latest industry trends. They also provide an opportunity for plumbers and business owners to learn more about the technology that successful plumbing businesses use to stay ahead of the curve.

There are several modern software solutions on the market that you’ll be able to see at the trade shows we’ve listed. But if you want to know more about how the latest innovations can help plumbers and plumbing businesses work more productively, we’ll tell you more about our software, ServiceTitan.

We designed ServiceTitan to help plumbing businesses streamline operations and attract customers. Trusted by over 100,000 contractors, ServiceTitan includes features that help with:

Let’s take a detailed look at some of ServiceTitan’s key features:

The Latest, Modern Scheduling Software

Our cloud-basedcall booking systemprompts CSRs to ask customers the right questions to find solutions for them, and schedule appointments easily. With ServiceTitan’s scheduling tool you can book appointments days, weeks, or even months in advance. This is particularly useful for booking longer visits, complicated jobs, or ones that require a plumber with specific skills.

Use our custom tags to flag technical specs or even languages spoken to ensure that the right plumber attends with the right skill set and the right tools

You can use ServiceTitan’s latest technology to prioritize emergency call-outs. With our software, you can actually see where each tech is in their job cycle, in real time, so you can schedule their next job to fit in right after they finish their current call.

Using modern scheduling software like this helps plumbing businesses spend less time managing scheduling issues arising from outdated tools and more time finishing jobs or booking new ones.

Be on Time with Our Dispatching Tool

ServiceTitan’s dispatch software helps plumbers arrive on time for every job. Our software tracks where all your techs are at any given time as well as any other real-time curve balls such as traffic delays or last-minute car trouble.

Dispatchers can contact techs and customers via SMS so it’s simple to keep everyone  aware of any changes that happen on the hoof, such as lengthening or shortening a job, or rescheduling it altogether.

Customers can also confirm appointments via text message, and these are automatically funneled into the ServiceTitan dispatch board, job records, and job audit trail.

Don’t Miss Out on Recurring Service Contracts

ServiceTitan’s three-step membership wizard makes it easy for your team to set up and fulfill contracted services, which encourages them to sell more, and bring in reliable revenue.

Your techs can create new maintenance memberships and equipment-based contracts with just a few taps via our mobile and tablet app. And since no contract is the same, ServiceTitan allows you to tailor each one to fit the customer, with additional monthly charges, opt-ins for extra maintenance tasks, and membership upgrade options.

ServiceTitan automatically tracks labor and material costs, so you can be confident your invoices will be spot on, every time.

Being able to create these contracts quickly — while on the job — means your techs never miss an opportunity to upsell services that maximize income and the customer experience.

Compile Digital Estimates On Site

Creating estimates is time-consuming, particularly if you’re out on a visit and you’re using an outdated pricebook. With ServiceTitan, plumbers can use the latest technology (and prices) to create estimates on the fly.

Plumbing techs can use ServiceTitan’s integrated, flat-rate solution, Pricebook Pro, to select the right options for each estimate. Photos, manufacturer videos, and product info can all be accessed in a couple of taps along with upgrade recommendations to maximize revenue. Having all this information on-hand means plumbers can easily build an estimate on site, show the customer, and have it signed in minutes.

ServiceTitan also gives techs access to any pertinent customer status information, such as an open estimate that needs to be followed up, or if it’s the right moment to upsell to a new membership contract. Using technology in this way allows plumbers to leverage each visit as well as the profit for your business.

Streamline Invoicing and Payroll

Making sure you’re invoicing customers and paying your staff promptly and correctly is critical to a successful plumbing business, and this is where modern software like ServiceTitan comes into its own.

Invoicing

Plumbing businesses that don’t use innovative software like ServiceTitan rely on technicians pulling together all the relevant details (e.g. hours worked, materials used, estimate given, etc.), to create each invoice. This is tedious and means your plumbers are spending time on paperwork rather than actual work.

With ServiceTitan’s free Invoice Generator Tool, plumbers can generate the invoices themselves, while they’re on site. Simply input the relevant information into a customized invoice template and send it to the customer then and there via text or email.

Invoicing in this way saves time and looks professional — you can even include imaging and branding. Plus, mistakes such as pricing errors or lost paperwork are reduced significantly. Your plumbers can create invoices with ease and then move on to their next job.

Payroll

ServiceTitan’s payroll software has been designed to help you track staff (via timesheets), and pay them swiftly, too.

Our timesheet software also helps you monitor the productivity of your business by monitoring time spent on specific activities, such as driving and collecting materials, as well as time spent on actual work. All these are recorded in real time, and overtime and bonuses can be configured easily, too.

Plumbers can access their timesheets for sign off, so there’s no need to drive into the head office each payroll period. Using these tools saves a significant amount of time (on average, around 30-60 minutes for each employer, every month) and helps the whole team.

Use the Latest Software to Grow Your Plumbing Business

Using software like ServiceTitan means you can stay ahead of the curve by tracking your ROI so you know how your business is performing. Our software also helps you run effective marketing campaigns to attract more leads and maximize revenue.

Track your ROI with ServiceTitan’s Reporting Software

You can view the most important metrics and KPIs on ServiceTitan’s dynamic dashboard. ServiceTitan lets you track the key components of your business, such as every job, technician, and CSR, as well as every marketing campaign.

With our technician scorecard, you can stay up-to-date on every tech’s stats, such as: number of calls per day, generated revenue, memberships sold, response times, and more. Likewise, our CSR scorecard means you can monitor metrics for your customer service team, such as number of calls handled, conversions, etc.

ServiceTitan lets you dig deep into your metrics so you can see exactly what’s driving revenue and where there’s room for improvement.

Plan Your Marketing Campaigns with Marketing Pro: Email Marketing, Direct Mail & Google Ads

ServiceTitan’s Marketing Pro is an all-in-one solution that helps plumbing businesses leverage existing customer data and execute marketing campaigns to maximize customer spend and attract new leads.

With Marketing Pro, you can produce “hyper-targeted” email marketing and direct mail campaigns that create laser-focused audiences based on your customer base, such as customers who have yet to respond to a quote

Using email and direct mail campaigns in this way means you can contact customers who may have dropped off the radar and convert them into revenue.

You can track your campaign using the Marketing Scorecard and Dynamic Dashboard we mentioned earlier and see which ones are driving revenue.

April Diemer, CFO of Tampa Bay Plumbers, says: “With Marketing Pro, we can select our audience, select our campaign and it’s automatically sent. We’ve seen a great return on that.”

You can watch their video testimonial here:

Google Local Services

ServiceTitan’s integration with Google Local Services makes it easier for you to advertise your services on Google, and makes sure you stay at the forefront of customers’ minds.

For example, when potential customers use Google to search for “plumbers near me”, the ad you created via ServiceTitan will appear at the top of the search results. Customers can then click on the ad and contact you directly without needing to look for your contact details on your website.

ServiceTitan’s dynamic call tracking feature means you track specific campaigns with precision. You can allocate a unique telephone number to each ad campaign, so that calls, bookings, and revenue can be attributed by campaign.

Contractors who use Marketing Pro have experienced a 27% increase in membership renewals, a 14% increase in year-on-year revenue, a 14% lift in their repeat job rate, and 45% higher year-on-year growth rates for call volume. Using this type of technology helps forward-thinking plumbing businesses stay ahead of their competitors.

Techs Can Use ServiceTitan in the Field

We’ve mentioned that plumbing techs can easily set up memberships and create estimates via our mobile and tablet app, but what else does the ServiceTitan technology allow them to do while out on jobs?

  • Access Data: Techs can quickly see all the customer data they need within a few taps, such as customer contact details, estimate information, previous invoices, notes, photos, and call recordings. This prevents techs from having to constantly communicate back and forth with the office.

  • Job Automation: You can have certain forms trigger automatically as a job progresses, such as a maintenance checklist for techs to refer to as they work through a job, or a request for a review. This ensures no important details or tasks are missed.

  • Mobile Payments: With ServiceTitan, it’s super-easy for technicians to take payments directly from customers via their mobile tablet. Securely capture the payment by taking a photo of the check or credit card, or send the customer a link to a personalized payment portal. This method is preferred by customers and means that your invoice is paid quickly.
